Shunning,, let's twist the knife in a little deeper now !
by man in black inthis morning i took my dog who is a therapy dog over to the hospital and visited with several patients.
it is quite an experience, and it really helps people undergoing medical treatment to calm down and relax.. my wife was one of those patients, she is undergoing some tests before getting her gall bladder removed which will probably be sometime tomorrow.. afterwards i took the dog home, cleaned her up, and changed my clothes.
since i was alone i drove over to panara to try one of their breakfast sandwiches, several of the nurses told me that they are pretty good.

Hi MIB, Id like to wish your wife a speedy recovery. Youre now on cleaning and washing duties for a week, on Nurse Paulas orders
What you saw in the sandwich place is typical of the conditional love expressed by these supposed "Christians".......it doesnt surprise you, but it still surprises you, if you get me. Im glad you didnt leave, but instead found a booth and enjoyed your sandwich. Even the "you are dirt" look by the loving JW lady didnt goad you...well done, you took the high road.
Good to hear from you. Be well.x

Necessary business with Disfellowshipped ones
by Quarterback ini was reading our study article for next week's wt study there is a subheading in there about treatment of disfellowshipped ones.
in one paragraph they slam the term, "necessary business" when dealing with a family member who is df'd.. this is so confusing.
in one hand they have coined that phrase "necessary business" with relatives that have df relatives.

Typical conundrum with the garbled messages from the GB....
They can tell you what to do, but not how to apply it in real life in this instance. Gives them more leverage to dissfellowship when they find out what youve been up to "behind our backs!"

So why
by bushido8000 init has become very apparent to me very quickly that this forum is dominated by ex-jws.
i have many questions and topics to present but i first want to know who i am presenting these questions and topics to so i have 2 questions that i would like as many of yall to answer as possible.. .
question 1: did you leave the organization out of the blue or were you first disfellowshipped?.

I studied for 6 years. In that time, the JW successfully isolated me from "worldly" friends and family. I suffer with agoraphobia and panic attacks. They pushed and pushed me to attend meetings, the memorial, even when I was very clearly unwell and suffering.
The crunch came when I was told I needed to try harder, or was not praying in the right way. They had NO IDEA how debilitating my illness was. They didnt know me, even after 6 years.......so I PUSHED myself to attend the district convention in 2009 while my mother was dying in an intensive care ward. I stuck it for 2 hours, realised I needed to be with my mother, got up, and wobbled out. I was chastised for leaving to be with my mother a week later. THAT WAS IT. I SNAPPED INSIDE.
It became clear I was worthless to them in terms of field service, and gradually they stopped calling, leaving me alone for monthes at a time.....Christian love? Dont make me laugh.
I found out about the Org joining the UN, the scandals of child abuse, the failed prophecies, and so it goes on.....joined this forum, and never looked back. I found the truth. And its not them.
